IT Outsourcing for Shenzhen & Hong Kong Teams

One person looking after dozens of devices no longer scales. Hand IT operations to a team with defined roles, choose only the modules you need, and get pricing in CNY or HKD.

What you actually buy when you outsource IT

Not "someone who fixes computers" — a team with defined roles, bought for the hours you need.

Cost follows headcount

Pay by headcount and module, so you are not funding idle capacity in quiet months or paying for recruitment and training.

Skills without headcount

Hiring, training, handover and cover for leave are our responsibility. You raise the request and review the outcome.

Response times in writing

Incident levels, response windows, on-site coverage and device caps are quantified in the service standard.

Records, backups, confidentiality

Asset records and inspection logs are kept on file, backups are put in place, and sensitive-data companies can sign a separate NDA.

Compared In-house IT hire IT outsourcing (this service)
Cost Fixed monthly salary plus social insurance, in busy and quiet months alike Paid by module and headcount, adjustable with 15 days written notice
Hiring and handover Long hiring cycles and gaps when someone leaves Cover is the provider's responsibility, no gap
Skill coverage Limited to one person's experience Remote, on-site, senior, management and strategy roles on demand
Management effort You handle rosters, appraisal and process design A named consultant follows up, with SLA and inspection reports on file

What each role solves

Understand the roles first, then choose modules — more useful than asking "how much" up front.

Remote

Remote engineer

Phone, remote desktop and email support for software faults, account setup, mail configuration and user guidance — most issues never need a visit.

On-site

On-site engineer

Per-visit or monthly visits for computers, printers, network gear and meeting rooms — work done in front of you and signed off on the spot.

Resident

Resident engineer

Fixed days per week or full time on site. Suited to offices with many devices and a lot of face-to-face communication.

Senior

Senior engineer

Specialist work on servers, networks, domain controllers, firewalls and development environments, by visit, hour or month.

Management

Project manager / department lead

Coordinates projects, manages the team, sets SLAs and handles vendors so IT is owned by someone rather than discussed by everyone.

Strategy

CIO / IT director-level consultant

IT strategy, digital transformation, information security framework and investment decisions — for groups or fast-scaling companies.

Frequently asked questions

A Hong Kong company with an office in Shenzhen — how should IT be set up?

Up to 20 staff rarely need a dedicated IT hire; remote support plus pay-per-visit on-site service is usually better value. Add monthly visits at 20–50 staff, and consider part-time or full-time resident engineers above 50. Once you pass 30 devices, keep an asset register and schedule inspections.

Can a Hong Kong company get a mainland invoice? How is HKD handled?

Yes. A mainland entity issues a Chinese VAT invoice (6% for general taxpayers). Hong Kong engagements are settled in HKD at roughly the CNY price x 1.1–1.2, with the rate and settlement date written into the contract.

Our office is in Shenzhen and our data is in Hong Kong — what about compliance?

Classify the data first: keep customer personal data and financial records on the mainland where possible. Where transfer to Hong Kong is needed, complete the assessment or filing required by current cross-border data rules and keep records. For overseas business systems, use a cross-border leased line or compliant enterprise networking product obtained from a licensed carrier.

How is outsourcing different from hiring a part-time technician?

The difference is continuity, not skill. Outsourcing is company to company: response times, scope and handover documents are in the contract, so the service continues even if people change. A part-time technician depends on one person's availability.

We are about one year old — should we hire a dedicated IT person?

Under 30 staff with no in-house development, usually not yet: remote support plus on-demand visits covers daily issues and keeps budget for the business. The three things worth doing first are an asset register, company-owned accounts, and backups.

What is a reasonable monthly IT spend for under 20 staff?

With remote support plus on-demand visits, expect a monthly figure in the low thousands of CNY; adding monthly visits or a part-time resident moves it into the several-thousand range, depending on device count and response requirements. Start small and scale up with headcount.

Pay-per-visit or monthly — which suits a small company?

Choose per-visit if issues are rare and clustered; choose monthly if they are frequent or response time matters. Multiply your last three months of visits by the per-visit price and compare with the monthly fee, then take the lower one. Modules can be changed with 15 days written notice.

What happens in the first week?

Standard incidents get a 15–30 minute remote response and a 2–4 hour on-site response in central Shenzhen; urgent incidents are 5–15 minutes remote and 1–2 hours on site. The first week covers an asset inventory, account and permission review, and network and backup checks, followed by a risk list with remediation priorities.

Fifteen minutes is enough for a first proposal

Tell us three things: headcount, city (Shenzhen or Hong Kong), and the device scope to cover. We will come back with a recommended combination, a monthly budget range, and a formal quotation including an HKD version.

Teams in Shenzhen and Hong Kong usually get a response the same working day; Hong Kong companies can settle directly in HKD.

Register and we will send the package and quote

Four fields are enough: company, contact, phone or WeChat, and roughly how many staff. After submitting you can add us on WeChat for Work, where we send the quotation, schedule and inspection reports.
